The main event in this chapter of Gideon’s life is not the fleece but God’s faithfulness. The fleece expresses Gideon’s failure to believe God. Yet, God was gracious enough to meet Gideon where he was, loving enough to tell Gideon His will, and patient enough to encourage Gideon’s weak faith.
