Life and death, victory and defeat, are sometimes determined by the position we take. Some battles require God’s people to take a stand. The Jews in Esther’s day had their sorrow turned to gladness because they were determined to stand for their lives. They stood in the fear of God. They stood to fight for what was good. They stood to protect future generations.
