They Cried But I Would Not Hear -Zechariah 7:13

In this matter of serving the LORD, ‘WHY’ is more important than ‘WHAT’. We must never forget that our heart is an open book to Him. He knows what we do and, more importantly, why we do it. In worship, ceremony and tradition must give way to Spirit and truth; for this is what pleases God. The people cried but God would not hear because 1) God is not moved by activity without sincerity, 2) God is not interested in formality without reality, and 3) God will not leave iniquity without penalty.
